MOVING AROUND

• Tramway
  Tramway line T3 goes from "Pont du Garigliano" to "Porte d’Ivry".
• Underground
  The Metro 4 is 20 meters away from the hotel. Metro 6, 12, and 13 also stop at “Montparnasse” or “Denfert-Rochereau” stations.
• RER
  RER B stops at "Denfert-Rochereau" and "Cite Universitaire".
• Airport shuttles
  Roissy-Charles de Gaulle: Air France shuttle at Montparnasse station.

GOING FOR A WALK

Montsouris Park Open every day from 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. in winter and until 9:30 p.m. in summer. Montsouris Park is an exception among the other gardens in Paris as it consists in a landscaped garden with hundred-year-old trees and rare birds. Designed at the end of the XIXth century, Montsouris Park stretches over 15 hectares. It is part of the parks created under the rule of Napoleon III and Prefect Haussmann during the second empire in order to offer Parisians an area of relaxation and leisure. This Peaceful and quiet place, will welcome you among an impressive number of plants and bird species. By foot or by “Velib”, you may go for a walk or a ride among the woods. Access from Paris Orleans Hotel: By tramway (approximately 4 min.): Take T3 at "Porte d’Orleans" direction "Porte d’Ivry" and stop at “Montsouris”. By foot (approximately 10 min.): Follow Brune Boulevard eastwards, and then continue on Jourdan Boulevard.

SHOPPING AND NIGHT LIFE

Designer and cut-price shops on Alesia Street Take advantage of the best prices of designer and special discounts  shops will offer you on Alesia Street. All year long, those designers and cut-price shops sell off their unsold products at a vary competitive rate. Brands such as Sinequanone, Sonia Rykiel, Daniel Hechter, or Chevignon. Access from Paris Orleans Hotel: By underground (approximately 3 min.): Take line 4 direction "Porte de Clignancourt” and stop at “Alesia”. By foot (approximately 6 min.): Follow General Leclerc Avenue towards the north, then turn left on Alesia Street. Montparnasse shopping center Open from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Closed on some holidays. The Montparnasse Tower houses a shopping as well as the Galleries Lafayette selling famous brands (such as Dior, Channel…). You will then continue shopping on the longest shopping street in Paris: Rue de Rennes. Access from Paris Orleans Hotel: By underground (approximately 13 min.): Take line 4 at “Porte d’Orleans” direction "Porte de Clignancourt” and stop at “Montparnasse-Bienvenue”. Gaite Street and its theatres Close to Montparnasse train station, Gaite Street is undoubtedly part of the most famous, and liveliest street in Paris. Named after the numerous dances, guinguettes, restaurants, and popular theatres from the XIXth century, this area has kept an entertaining atmosphere. Among the most famous theatres, you will find Montparnasse Theatre, Gaite Theatre, Petit Montparnasse, Poche Theatre, Guichet, or Rive Gauche Theatre. Access from Paris Orleans Hotel:   By underground (approximately 18 min.): Take the tramway line 3 at "Porte d’Orleans" direction "Pont du Garigliano", stop at "Porte de Vanves" and take the underground line 13 direction “Asnieres-Gennevilliers” or “Saint-Denis-Universite”, then stop at “Gaite”.

Denfert-Rochereau Square

Denfert-Rochereau Square is overseen by the impressive Belfort Lion, sculpted by Bartholdi.

Catacombs Open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays (access until 4 p.m.). The Catacombs is an underground labyrinth of over 300 km long. It gathers the remains of about six million Parisians who were transferred there between the end of the XVIIIth century and the middle of the XIXth century. Montparnasse Graveyard From 06/11 to 15/03, open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (on Saturday from 8:30, on Sunday and holidays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) From 16/03 to 15/11, open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (on Saturday from 8:30 a.m., on Sunday and holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.). This large Parisian gathers the tombs of famous writers, such as Charles Baudelaire, Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Samuel Beckett, Guy de Maupassant, Sainte-Beuve, and Serge Gainsbourg.
